1. Introduction
Welcome to AuraFoto. Your privacy is our top priority.
This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your data when you use the AuraFoto iOS application.
Our core philosophy is simple: what happens on your device, stays on your device.
2. On-Device Processing & Facial Detection
AuraFoto uses Apple’s native Vision Framework to perform real-time, on-device face detection. This functionality only identifies "face bounding boxes" (coordinates of faces in the frame).
- No Cloud Processing: All facial detection and image processing happens 100% locally on your iPhone.
- Specific Uses of Face Data: The bounding box coordinates are used strictly to: (1) enable the Smart Trigger to detect when a subject is properly framed and stable to trigger the shutter; (2) automatically crop the final image using the rule of thirds; (3) apply Virtual Ring Light enhancements (shadow recovery) over the subject's face; and (4) display a visual focus box overlay during the live camera preview.
- No Biometric Storage or Sharing: We do not collect, store, retain, or share any face data or biometric identifiers with third parties. The algorithms only analyze the live camera feed in volatile memory during the active session and immediately discard all face coordinates and detection data after the photo is processed.
3. Permissions We Request
To provide our core functionality, AuraFoto requires the following device permissions:
- Camera Access: Required to capture photos and analyze the live feed for auto-framing.
- Photo Library Access (Add Only): Required to save your final, curated photo selections directly to your iOS Camera Roll. We do not read, scan, or upload your existing personal photo library.
